Hello,

Right now I'm using a Rega RP8/ Apheta 2 turntable with Leema Essentials Phono Amp (and Leema Tucana II Amplifier).

Want to upgrade my Leema Phono Amp because I think my Rega has more to offer than it appears now.

There are some options there to choose from: Leema Elements Ultra, Pathos In The Groove, Rega Aria, Musical Fidelity MX-VYNL.

What would you consider to be the best partner for the RP8 in my system (money is no subject in this case)?

Looking forward to get some nice feedback, thanks *biggrin*.

Regards, Sjors

I trust this guy's reviews, and he says Aria is excellent with MM, but disappointing with MC. He prefers Avid Pulsus. Simaudio 310lp and Sutherland phonostages should also be on your list.

Have not watched it but sounds like reviewer may be American. You try finding Sutherland in the UK. ;-)

I would suggest OP adds Tom Evans Audio to his list.

He's Japanese, and he makes a lot of sense 🙂

He does indeed, however no matter if it is a giant-killer £1600 might be a tad over the OP's budget looking at others on his list, but maybe not.

The Microgroove Plus X Mark 2 is around £1000
