Yes - the 9664 is just about to finish and is a traditional CCFL LCD screen. The 9664 won loads of awards and is a corker of a screen. the 7605 is from this years range and is an edge lit design ( last years 8684 essentially ).
On paper the 9 is 200hz and the 7 100hz but I wouldnt worry too much about them. Between the two the 9664 is the better screen IMO, excellent balanced colour with good black levels. There are a few good deals to be had from the retailers who bought the last of the stock.
Another screen to consider is the 40PFL9704 - this is the flagship screen until the replacement comes out, excellent picture that builds on the 9664.
