Philips 9664 firmware upgrade - Yes or no?

I see that there's a firmware upgrade (version 000,026.070.000) available for the 42PFL9664 on Philips' support pages. Has anyone updated their set? If so, are there any noticable improvements after doing so?

Any risks involved in upgrading the firmware? Is it something you should only do if experiencing a problem, or is it advisable to do so whenever an upgrade becomes available?

Hi

I upgraded from 067 to 070 two days ago.

No problems and no improvements that I can see.

Still have annoying difference between what mannual says and where menu items are.

Interestingly I stumbled across the presence of 070 on the philips site and triied to persuade my 9664 to find it, but id reported that no upgrades were available. I therefore downloaded onto USB and forced the upgrade.

Had to do the same as you Treidlia. The TV didn't find the software upgrade itself, had to use the trusty old USB method. Can't say it's made any noticeable difference.
