I have been trying to get either the philips 37PFL9603D and panasonic TX-37LZD800 from anywhere and there are just none.

Anybody else been having these problems?

I choose these two as I see them as the top of the 37in range. (Sony just dont do anything to match these two).

Have you seen the KDL-37V4500? Exclusive to Sony Centres, with Bravia Engine 2. Excellent set.

I can second that, own the 26" version (although I think the spec does differ a little) and I would think performance will be very similar, but in my opinion the performance of that series is excellent! You're looking at higher-end sets and I would also consider the Pioneer KRL-37V and Panasonic 37PX80 for SD performance.

Yes, I have seen the KDL-37V4500 but remind me, is that full HD? Perhaps my memory is deciving me but I think not.

Thanks for the pioneer KRL-37V recommendation, I will check it out.

If anybody does know of anybody who is selling either of these sets please do let me know,

It isn't full hd but does accept 1080/24 signals and does a stunning job of scaling them! From what I've heard full hd is pretty irrelevant at this size... You be the judge! ha

Oh yeah - the Pioneer 37 is available for under £900 (great price) if you do a quick Google search and go to the shopping page.
