PC sound and bluetooth headphones

I like to listen to music while working on my PC. How do I know I'm getting the best out of my Sony WH-1000XM3s?

My PC has onboard sound with a Realtek ALC892 codec:

What have they been smoking?

Anyway, the onboard audio is what drives the headphone out.
Not that interesting as it is not related to BT
Bit unclear what protocols are supported by the USB dongle.
SBC(320 kbs MP3 style) but probably not LDAC (Sony codec running 900 kbs max)
