Just a shame that I thought the film was pants. Give me the Exorcist any day, or even better the original japanese Ringu.

I don't think it was that bad. I think if you get swallowed up in any film's hype, you're ultimately leading to disappointment. I was well clear of all the hype surrounding The Blair Witch Project, and I'm glad I was. Many people slagged it off because they were expecting too much - I thought it was an excellent film.

Agreed. The key to these sorts of films is empathy. If you can't put yourself in the position of the person within the film, you're not going to get it.
