I'm a n00b, it's better if someone tells me :) - only way I know how to do it would be just running an interconnect from the DAC to the TV in the L/R Audio ports.

Guessing for the best connection you would need something from the Optical Input (on the DAc) to the Digital Audio Out on the TV? Dunno what wire you'd need for this though.

Told you I don't have a clue!

Right all these different type of cables are confusing me.

I want an optical cable for my DAC > TV - on the DAC, the Optical Input says SPDIF beside it. Will something like http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1m-Pure-Optical-TOS-Link-Cable-HQ-TOSLink-Lead-Digital-/290459967481?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item43a0c35ff9 suffice?

Secondly, I want to also test optical from DAC to my laptop which has a merged headphone/optical out socked - would the cable I need for this to be different?
