why dont you find a dealer that will give you a money back guarantee on a g20 should you not be happy? there are many people who have found no issues with their panasonic plasmas, you may be one of them? they are excellent tv's..

I purchased the 42G20 last weekend and it looks good at the moment (hopefully not famous last words). I checked with the store I purchased from asking if I noticed any black issues would it be classed as faulty and he said yes and they would exchange/refund. I have checked the Matrix on BR and yes the screen does go a little lighter at around 03:05 minutes but to be fair I was looking for it and I would not have noticed it if I wasn't looking for it. Also watched MOTD Saturday night and no problems with the centre circle or the crowd. Had freesat installed yesterday ready for england game on Tuesday in HD so will test on that then. Other than that the TV looks fantastic and I haven't changed any of the settings yet. I also use it for gaming (PS3) and I have not noticed any input lag. Also if you buy now from select independent retailers (ie not comet, dixons, argos etc) you get 5 year warranty free of charge after a demo of the TV. Currently I would recommend it, esp for gaming over LCD/LED

Since posting my last post here I have watched both Terminator Salvation and the Matrix on Blu Ray, and would now advise to wait and see what Panasonic say tomorrow. I noticed a lot of contrast fluctuation when watching the Matrix and I mean the whole TV, not just the film (inc the black or should I say sometimes black and sometimes black with a punch of white border bars) It was rather annoying last night while watching it and I would advise waiting for tomorrow and seeing what they say and then defo getting the agreement of the sales staff that should there be black level issues you can get a refund. Its a real shame because when the settings didn't change the picture was absolutely superb. If I return it my next problem will be what to replace it with!
