i have finally decided to buy the panasonic th-37px80b (thanks to everyones help on this forum) but on currys it says px80 and on comet it is px80ba. my question is there a difference or is it the way they have been written and they are the same tvs. again any help will be apprecitied.

The TH37PX80B is the 'B'ritish model. The TH37PX80BA is what you're likely to get no matter where you buy from now. The 'A' at the end of the model no. indicates that the internal design has been updated in some way, quite often to fix a potential problem with the original design. The 'A' models have been on the market for a while now, so you shouldn't end up with an old one.

Apologies for shooting the messenger but this is scary. there best not be a problem with my telly waiting to happen, Mr Panasonic.

Apologies that this overlaps with my 37" panasonic message elsewhere...I'm shopping for the same model, thanks largely to feedback in this forum and I've just become aware of the different letters at the end of the model number. Do the manufacturers deliberately set out to confuse us??
