I can buy both the above tvs at more or less the same price , both just under £600.

I cant make my mind up though ...which is best for picture quailty.

I do like samsungs looks alot better then panasonics and i also do perfer that samsung has usb and internet.

But which would be better?

The panasonic would be 10" bigger , would 50" be a bit to big for someone who only sits like 7-8 feet away from the tv?

Only live in apartment at present so dont want something which will look stupid size wise ,at the time i did think it would look good like going to the pictures , but now thinking about it would it show more flaws? , would it look too stupid for a small living room?

I did have a 42" one previously and friends use to say how massive it was , wonder what they would say to me getting a 50" one lol.

Just took back a Philips 9000 model as i hated the picture quailty for the price , kept getting jaggered edges on people moving etc , gave me a headace more then anything else...not sure if it was faulty or not.

7 or 8 ft from a 50" g10 is great for hd , not so great for sd , 40" to 46" would be as big as id go ..

i recently had a samsung 46b650 for a week , and currently have a 46g10 , the sammy had slightly better sd to my eyes , but i prefer the hd on the panny , to be honest theres not a lot in it either way , i found them both good with motion , although some people are not mad about the pannys motion (intelligent frame creation) ..

if you are into gaming the panny would better as it has no input lag issues .

Hi Maxflinn

Richer Sounds have the 46G10/Samsung UE46B8000 for £850/£1500 respectively.

Based on your comments above would that make the Panny a no brainer out of the two in your opinion?

it would be a no brainer for me , yes , but i slightly prefer plasma , and couldnt justify the extra outlay ..

ive not spent time with a b8000 , but i admit that the 7020s i seen in several stores looked very good(playing a high quality demo disc) , i certainly would take whfis view on board regarding the b8000 , but in my slightly biased opinion , its now way near £650 better than the panny ...

I have great respect for the Bravia range - I've had one for several years and never had a problem but the prices are fairly high now. For example the Z5800 is about twice the price of a panny G10 on the web which makes me think a bit.
