Hello Everyone,

I just saw the Panasonic TX-P42V10 tv for 699 at a local electronics store.
They said they would give me 5 years guarantee if i were to buy it.
Now i have seen this tv in the past for almost twice the sum of 699, and i know it has won
awards and such, so is this a bargain deal or not?

I actually wanted a 50inch tv, but they also come with a hefty pricetag.
I am gonna use it primarily for gaming and blu-ray movies.

Hi,

There are a few 50" TV's going for around the same price at the moment.

LG, Samsung, Panasonic available from various white goods dealers and specialist shops.

Cheers,

Cofnchtr.

it's no bargain at that price, it's an 09 set, no freeview hd. at £499 it would be ok imo.

Indeed, unless you mean the V20, which can be found for the same price if you look carefully enough.

I can't comment on whether it's worth it or not, but I really hope it is.

I bought a 42V20 which will be delivered on Friday. I'll happily post what I think once I've had time to thoroughly audition it.

I love my 42v10, I may well hit some disagreement here but with the thx mode on I think it has an amazing picture, beats any LCD or led I have seen easily. So much more natural. If you watch alot of SD content again I think the picture is particularly good.
£699 is alot of money though, admittedly mine was reconditioned but I paid £500 4 months ago.
