Discuss, in context of other televisions that are available at either a) John Lewis or b) Richer Sounds, are less than 57.5cm tall including stand, have good SD picture and not terrible inbuilt sound.

Nnnggghhh - am umming and ahhing between HD Ready and Full HD. Feeding it mostly SD content, so am thinking HD Ready might look better - Viewing distance is only about 8 feet.

JD, I would'nt make full HD a priority. I hope this will help burst that bubble of lonelyness you're finding yourself in with this thread ...

Alternatively add 'Sony' to the title, that should do the job

Well, thanks for your help everybody...

I got the S10. I would have got the Samsung LE32B650 (or you reading this Samsung?) because it's fabulous, but it sits on a stupid tall stand which appeared to be non-adjustable, and took the telly over my height limit....
