Well I'm glad you did recommend it as I'm blown away with its performance compared to the LCD!

As a matter of interest, which JL store did you get it from, and did they charge you delivery?

Afraid I can't afford it just now anyway even if I get a PM.

In Scotland the store you are pricematching with must be no more than 8 miles from a JL Store. So I have asked them to PM with Robert Whyte.

Just thought i'd share this piece of info with you.

Today i price matched Sound & Vision in Bolton at John Lewis in Bristol.

I was able to get the Panasonic Viera Plasma TH-37PX80 for £608.90 instead of £799.99.

Absolutely fantastic price.

Arrives a week tomorrow.

Dartmouth,

I'm also with you on this... definately decided on Panasonic but now they are about to release the LDZ800 in the LCD. Sounds pretty good esp with the 100Hz and 24p AND it's full 1080p.... (should be one better than the LDZ85) and I think they have put a better sound system in. Check that.

Yet to see a review on it but it's a choice between this and the PX80B plasma.

Money is not really a matter at these prices. Sure, give or take £300 but we're not talking thousands. I'd rather get a TV of choice than go for the plasma just because it's a bit cheaper.

Let me know how your decision goes.

I'm off to bother another, un-trained sales person in an electrical retail chain into putting various feeds on the tv's... hahah

FYI I looked at the LZD80 in store and I thought it looked pretty good particularly on non HD channels.
