Hi all, thanks for the Forum, I bought a TX32LXD70 few days ago. I read too many positive feedbacks

I have a Denon DVD 1730 for a while, but planning to get a Panasonic DVD player (or a diff. brand

) Would the picture quality improve a lot with a player with hdmi 1080p rather than 1080i? Shall I go for Panasonic or it doesn't really matter? Any ideas, comments, recommendations? Thanks

To be honest, upscaling to 1080p on a 32in screen isn't going to make much difference. The Panasonic is an HD-ready set, not Full HD, so it will still have to downscale the image to fit the screen resolution (1366 x 768).

However, I would upgrade your Denon DVD-1730 DVD player as we only gave it three stars when we tested back in Sept 06. Depending on your budget, I'd take a look at either the Denon DVD-1740 (£150) or the Denon DVD-1940 (£250). The latter was our Best Buy DVD player £100-£300 in the 2007 Awards.

Thanks for the advice.in this case, would it make much difference if I won't buy a HDMI cable for £45 (I need at least 2 m). I already have a belkin golden scart...

Should a DVD Player be set to 720p and not 1080p in that case?

I have the LXD700 and have set my DVD Player to auto and it is showing 1080p output.
