Hi

Any thoughts on the above 2 tvs, i appreciate 1 is LCD and other Plasma but i hear the Sony is a giant leap forward with great SD pictures, please please give me some thoughts.

If i purchase the Pana with built in Freesat, what do i need to set this up considering i also have Sky HD at present are the 2 compatible

Thanks

Hi there ÿ

I'm also looking at the Panasonic PZ81B but can't decide if it's worth getting a TV with build-in Freesat. ÿA couple of reasons, with built-in Freesat you haven't the facility to record the content to watch at a more convenient time, which brings me onto my second point. ÿIf you already have Sky installed, whether it be SD or HD it's easy to join Freesat with your existing equipment. ÿThis taken from http://www.freesatfromsky.co.uk/ ÿ

"All you need to gain access to the free channels available on the digital satellite platform is a Freesatÿfrom Sky viewing card, which costs just £20." ÿ

I can't offer any comment on the Sony only to say that my personal preference lies with Plasma, I'm currently watching a 32" Toshiba CRT that should have been retired a long, long time ago! ÿ

One point here. You only get access to Freesat HD programs if you have the SKY HD box.
