panasonic ptae 4000 projector

hi guys when is this projector out and how much will it be? also how does the panasonic ptae 3000 compare picture wise to the x10/in80? im selling my x10 and im looking at one of these but im worried that the picture wont be as good, iv read that lcd isnt as good as dlp projectors! any advice would be appreciated.

cheers mate , i know they have got good reviews i want to know how it compares to the in80/x10?does any one know when the new panasonic is out and how much it will be? will what hi fi be reviewing it in time for the awards mag ? thanks

The 4000 will be £2499 on launch - it is due to arrive in the last week of October.

I personally favour the PTAE3000 over everything else at the price point. The motion is superb - much better than units far more costly - and when calibrated the image is stunningly good for the money. In terms of set up the Panasonic is one of the most flexible units with massive lems shift.

The 4000 should improve on this as it has a new bulb and minor improvements but for now the 3000 presents excellent value for money at over £600 less.

thanks nick i'll see if the 4000 is worth the extra before deciding on that or the 3000! cheers mate.
