Hi,just tried my v10 on standby and no clicking noise at all.
Inormally knock my tv off all the time just to save that little bit more energy(saving the planet and all that, you know.).
Any more questions feel free to ask.

Digigriffin,

I came to the v10 from a cheap 26" samsung lcd (2 years old), which was pretty bad with freeview (better with sky), and not really very good with dvd. From the testing I did before I bought the set, I was very impressed with the dvd playback, and blu ray.

I haven't seen very much dvd content because I don't have a blu ray (or dvd) player yet, but it was definately a considerable step up from my previous tv's performance - as you'd expect from a tv costing five times the price. Same again with tv, though I concede it doesn't look amazing, it's better than what I'm used to.

Simoncar,

Thanks for trying that out. I guess I'll have to see what the store I bought it from tell me tomorrow. They contacted panasonic who advised I reset the tv to shipping conditions. I can't see that having too much of an impact, but I'll have to wait and see.

At least the demo tv I was showed has it, so they are aware of the problem, even though it is worse on mine.

P.s. I think if we were into saving the planet, we wouldn't have bought large(ish) plasma tvs, lol.
