So it is supposedly out- anybody noticed.Bit of a damp squib.

Anyone got their hands on one and is it worth it at the current price.Best deal I can see on the 750 is £769.99 instead of £899 but that is still far more than the individual components.

I've seen the Panasonic DMR-BS850 - review here - advertised for £869, but that's lowest yet. Mind you, it did only go on sale this week!

It's an outstanding, highly flexible product, hampered more by Freesat HD's content limitations - and that premium pricing - than any performance shortcomings.

We had a similar struggle when it came to giving the product a star-rating! If it were a little cheaper, it'd be a five-star buy....but Panasonic insists the price reflects what it costs to build, especially considering all the computing-style features (particularly HD camcorder editing/archiving) that it offers. Let's see what happens with the pricing once it's been on sale a month or so!

I sniff a bargain coming up in the next couple of months and if they are that expensive to build then there will be a new model with less "computing features" (except gracenote or similar which is a must for me) in order to compete in the marketplace.( oh and no blu ray recorder just HD recording)
