I thought I bought one about five weeks ago, until I got a phone call saying they have been withdrawn over a sound issue - is this true?

They are now saying I will get the new model 55 in October for the same price, good if true.

But I find it strange that the BD50 is not that long out and they can’t fix the issues.

Given some retailers, I wonder if this is a stock issue and it's easier just to send you the newer version once they get it. I'd have a look around and make sure the price you paid is good for the BD55 before accepting this.
