I just tried to order this item From amazon but they will not ship to southern ireland. My local shop IN Cork city sells at 400euro (£330).

Do you think it would be safe if i bought the Panny DMP - BD 55 off Amazon? I'm always buying dvds off there but a Blu - Ray player is another thing in itself, their considerably cheaper for one thing but it's the customer service that everyone needs if anything goes wrong with the ******, Thanks.

My Dad just bought a £900 Sony TV from Amazon, and i've bought many items - big and small - from them with no problems. In fact I'm taking delivery of a new hoover from them tomorrow....

A friend of mine bought a telly off amazon (tho it was one of the marketplace sellers i think) and has had no problems.

i was going to continue weighing up my BR position for a while but @£200 really is good...

I've bought many, many items from Amazon, including DVD players and the Panasonic '35, and have always found their service to be outstandingly good.
