Panasonic BD 50

Hi, As you can see from the title I have a Panasonic Blue Ray player that upscales to 1080i, if i was to change it for one that upscales to 1080P would I see a significant difference to the picture.

Won't the BD 50 do 1080p?

My BD 30 does when connected to a 1080p TV.
So my DVD's are output on the BD 30 upscaled @ 1080p?
