panasonic 50 vt30 and connections

Hi,I Have just purchased a 50 vt30 with a new 310 blueray player and having it friday,now looking at the equipment I have what will be the best connections to make with my ps3 and such.

Also I have bought a new 1.4 hdmi as the other hdmi cables I have are chord silver 1.3,will i just need the one 1.4 hdmi to connect straight to the tv from blueray player and how would I connect ps3,thanks.

if you want 3d from your ps3 then you'll need to connect that also direct to your tv with hdmi - optical to your amp for sound.. connect the bd310 - hmdi 1 to your tv for 3d - hmdi 2 to your amp for lossless audio.. you will need to switch off 'secondary audio' on the blu-ray player and on the bdt300 you also had to set video to 'off' on hdmi 2 output to get audio.. i have a very similar setup and it works great. Sky HD - again - hdmi direct to the tv, optical or co axial to the amp..

for the ps3 i use hdmi 1.3 it doesnt need 1.4 as the hdmi chipset in the ps3 is 1.3.. sony are fudging the way the ps3 does 3d in software.. not sure of the exact detail but should be fine with 1.3 cable.. i only use 1.4 for my blu-ray player..

Thanks Mick,my 50 vt30 is all set up and all i can say is wow,the hd channels are the best i have seen,just got to get some 3d bluerays now.
