panasonic 42px60 upgrade

I have had the above for 3 years - I am thinking of upgrading to 46 or 50 inch full HD (I sit about 13 feet away). Any views of whether I would see a noticeable improvement and recommended size for my viewing distance. I watch mainly sky hd plus the odd blu-ray.

I would wait untill next spring when new tv's come out with freeview HD, also i would get a 50" i sit about 6' away from my 46" & i now wish i had gone for 50".

The OP has Sky HD, so Freeview HD is not an issue. For your viewing distance, I would suggest for atleast a 50-inch TV.....the improvement over your current telly will be massive.

What's your budget?

yes.not much difference between the 42 and 46 in size

If your budget allows, a 60-inch TV is ideal for your viewing distance. I sit 9 feet away from my 50-inch Kuro.

agree at that distance a 60 inch would be ok , but only if it was a top quality tv (kuro , v10) , not the likes of some of lgs big plasmas , which can be a little ropey....
