Hi all, looking to upgrade my 32" Samsung at the beginning of August. I have decided to get either the Panasonic th-42pz81(cause it's got built in Freesat) or the Sony kdl-40w4000(which whathifi raved about), has anyone out there got either one of these?

They both cost about the same even if i buy a Freesat box to go with the sony, but i'm worried about light reflecting of the Pana plasma screen as my tv will be mounted opposite the lounge window, don't have this problem with my current lcd, any views on this?

I've decided to go for these because they are full hd and have 24 pfs as i watch a lot of bd films via my ps3, all comments welcome.

Thanks, Alan

Hi Alan

Light reflecting off the plasma screen if you place it opposite the lounge window may well be a problem and could be distracting if you watch a lot of TV during daylight hours and don't want to draw the curtains.

I have a similar problem at home as the TV is in the corner near the main window, so chose a Sony Bravia LCD partially for that reason. Both the Sony and Panasonic are excellent sets, and you won't be disappointed with either, but as you say if you buy the Sony, you can add a set-top box to get Freesat, so I'd go for that option.

Thanks Andy, thought that might be the case with the Panasonic, i'll get the Sony then add a Freesat box with pvr at a later date when avilable.
