Hi,

Santa came late round ours and only delivered the new telly on the 26th. Can't complain as it's 5" bigger than the one ordered originally. lol

As my first plasma, I am at the moment treading wearily regarding avoiding "image retention" issues and as such I'm running image settings with low contrast and luminosity.

1. Is it really necessary?

2. What is the best way to run a new plasma in? (if any)

3. Where can I get that "THX optimiser" thingy? Does it work for plasma's as well as LCD's?

Thanks

Chris

You're doing the right thing, just ease off the brightness and contrast for a short while and thats it. Image retention doesn't really happy much anymore, just don't leave a static image there for ages and ages.............if it does happen just put normal TV on and it'll probably dissapear.

THX tests are available on many dvd's, Star Wars for instance but can't think of any more at the mo.
