Optical Cable Help only on HD Channel

Hi everyone, i have hd tv using hdmi cable and sky hd and samsung surround sound with belkin optical cable wired from sky hd to surround sound.

I have a problem that every time i go on a hd channel, the speakers make a funny scratching noise. i can flick thru the normal channel on sky as much as i want and everything is fine but as soon as i click a hd channel, as its about to come on the speakers making a scretching sound for like 1 second then the sound comes on...any1 know why? it was a 25quid cable from currys so surely its not that?? any help is appreciated. thanks liam

It won't be the cable, it'll be something to do with the switching in the sky HD box, sorry I can't help more! Anyone else?
