Hi all,

Just got mine last night. Decided just to get the amp as I already have 3 pairs of cans at home namely Beyer T1, Alessandro Grado MS Pro and BOSE OTE.

This amp..... wow.... even fresh out of the box.... it already giving me a spacious sound.... even with the cheapest BOSE OTE.

The first few hours.... was such a bliss. It gives me a different presentation from my Bryston BHA1 headphone amp.

Extended revview soon...

Nice!

What's your opinion on Bose Wave Radio?

Don't mean to steer away from headphones, but I bought a Bose Soundlink Mini speaker, and aside from a boosted upper bass and somewhat thick lower mids, it's absolutely amazing for its size as a high fidelity reproducer. The bass cuts off sharply below 60 hz, but it still beats anything else I heard in or near that size.

Everything I have seen and read suggests this is a great piece of kit, EH. Looking forward to review, and congrats on your choice!

You are spot on there nopiano.... I have a few more things to test the unit with ie the coax and optical input...before the review will be completed.

The sound however,,, although superb for its price... it is still hard to beat my resident Bryston BHA1 headphone amp. The Oppo provides very spacious sound... but not as warm or 'relaxing' as the Bryston....

Still a good a unit with all its features....

What's your opinion on Bose Wave Radio?

bigboss... what can I say.... I am a big fan of BOSE.... from headphones to PC speakers to radios...

I use the Wave radio for radio, CD and ipod/Apple AE (Aux in). All of them sounds great for a bedroom set up. Its not boomy nor lacking in bass. The radio reception is not as good as Tivoli Audio products but I use the iPod/Apple AE internet radio.

For its simplicity (no wiring for external speakers), I dont understand why most people dislike BOSE.
