Opinion to pick first turntable upgrade!

Hi guys,

I'm planning to upgrade my turntable from my current AT-LP 60.

My two choices are AudioTechnica LP-5 or the Debut Carbon w/ 2M cartridge.

My only notes are that, i am based in sri lanka, and repairs/service/upgrades are almost non-existent, so i would like to find the right balance between a well-built, not too sensitive table (so it won't require repair or service often), with sufficent quality to keep me happy for about 3 years :)

My current setup: Q Acoustic 3020 speakers and Onkyo 9010 Amp.

You guys helped alot building my first budget system, and hope you can help me out again for this upgrade! Open to new suggestions as well :) price under $550 preferabbly

Ok, not many answers so far.

First of all you might want to repost in the turntable section to get more replies.

Secondly, and it's my personal opinion, I'd look into spending that money on speakers. Especially if vinyl isn't your only source.

If vinyl is all you listen to then fair enough upgrade your turntable and build around it. I won't be able to suggest any decks though as personal taste will matter a lot. I found that many turntables at that price even though decent came with a cartridge I wasn't particularly crazy about.
