Onkyo remote code?

Hi i want to use my Onkyo TX-SR674e remote to control my Samsung HD870 dvd player aswell but the onkyo manual doesnt have the code for this player. Can anyone help?

...Presumably as a result of the Samsung player not existing when the Onkyo was designed and its manual was written.

Why not here.

I assume you've tried the existing Samsung codes for this remote - 0820, 0899, 1044, and 1075

The manual for the more recent TX-SR605 receiver's remote gives some additional remote codes for Samsung DVDs, so it's worth trying those as well.

0490, 0573, 0744

Well i got in touch with Onkyo and here's what they came back with.

"The remote control of the receiver TX-SR 674 is pre programmed.
That means the commands for the different devices are stored in the remote
control.
To activate this stored controls you have to give in a specific code
number.
Unfortunately it's not possible to expand or to learn new commands into
the memory of the remote control.
Therefore we can not give an new code."

I'd guess this is the same for a lot of products.
