Saw this review below of the Onkyo dock on Amazon. Now I'm not a Cyrus owner but i'm pretty sure the playback from their cd player would out class an ipod classic (I do own) via the dock..
As a fully fledged hifi snob I've been shopping around for a dock to
link up my Cyrus separates with my ipod classic. I tested an Arcam R
dock which was useless with my classic & couldn't playback through
an Arcam Solo mini on demonstration. So I bought the Onkyo in
desparation & its great. Easy to fit & configure & delivers
better sound quality than my Cyrus CD player. Looks sleek &
unobstrusive as well. Worth investing in some decent interconects as
well

I used to have a Cyrus CD6s and I have the Onkyo DS-A2X dock and to be honest there was not much between them so I can understand that review.

So the CD player was sold....

What interconnect do you use?

I used a Merlin interconnect and its actual name escapes me at the mo....

Thanks your omnipotent omnisience. It tempting to take an ipod and my GQ-24 cable somewhere to make a comparison with the dock after what you have said.
