Onkyo BTL option

There seems to be confusion in regards to the BTL option on the higher specified Onkyo's

Can you configure it to bridge the surround backs to the front speakers and still listen to 5.1 material or is the BTL option only for 2 channels

In balanced (BTL) mode, only two channels (plus the sub output).

In biamp mode, 5.1.

In standard mode, 7.1.

Thanks for the reply Andrew - so if you have configured the Onkyo in BTL mode and was listening to 2 channels and then wanted to play a 5.1 movie is there a quick switch over for this or do you have to keep on unplugging the speaker plugs at the back of the amp?

Lots of unpluggage and repluggage involved
