onkyo 905 and blu-ray no signal

hell I have a problem

I have a panasonic blu-ray dmp 30

and a onkyo 905

pioneer 428xd

pana with hdmi cable to hdmi in 1 on onkyo and hdmi cable from main out on onkyo to hdmi input 4 on pioneer

but the onkyo says i have no signal

could someone tell me the correct way to set it up

Sounds like a handshake issue.

If I switch my 875 on before my PS3 or 970 dvd rec they have trouble speaking to each other. Try switching off/on your player and see if that works.

If not go into settings on your 905 and check that you have allocated the HDMI in for your player to a channel.

Yeah. Check and re-check the HDMI input. I thought I'd plugged mine into 1 when I first installed it, but after not getting anything out of it, I realise I'd plugged it into one of the others (4 I think).
