Onkyo 875 - Firmware upgrade

Just to update two discs sent to me both playable on cd. down load to be done this week.

Has everyone got that firmware update sorted, just been reading this thread before which had never heard that an update existed. My receiver has 1.2 firware on, so my only option it seems is to have it sent away, its a shame Onkyo dont do some sort of swap. Am I right in saying that once the hardware mod has been done I will be able to update the receiver myself in future if need be?

Got my 875 back yesterday, but won't have a chance to set it up again till the weekend.

had same promblem with onkyo 605 done the update with cd-r and used panasonic dmp-30 with optical cable very quick and easy to do it fixed the popping noise on golden compass and avp2 also fixed the lip sync promblem on walk hard
