Can the onkyo 606 decode linear pcm over hdmi,only ive just ordered one from hi fi bitz,even though at the moment i only have a ps3 as my blu-ray player-and would it be a good idea to upgrade my blu ray to a stand alone ,and if so which one?

PS3 will work fine with the Onkyo - you just need to set it to output Linear PCM when watching a Blu-Ray. See this thread for more details.
