Hi there,

Hope someone can help, I seem to have lost the OSD on my 606. It's connected via HDMI and has always worked in the past, but now when I try it cuts the picture to the TV but doesn't display the Setup menu on the screen. If I check the settings via the LCD then it looks OK, and I can't think of anything that might have changed since it last worked. Has anyone any suggestions before I try resetting it?

Many thanks,

Steve.

You've had it working through HDMI before? The OSD to my knowledge is only available through composite or s-video.

No-this beastie only does OSD thru HDMI -I wasted 45 mins trying to setup thru composite- It is in the manual but totally in the wrong place so you find out the hard way.

OP- I have to ask- can you still watch other things thru the connection or is the cable loose .

Thanks guys. Yeah I can see all the source equipment fine, just the OSD that's missing. It seems to cut the video signal from whatever input I'm watching but no OSD appears, just a black screen?

Does the tv have more than 1 HDMI input, and have you tried it.What is the whole setup/config.

ÿIf it does do it via HDMI try unplugging all over video connections to the TV from the receiver and then try it.

Tried another HDMI and with all other video sources to the TV unplugged but still the same effect. As for the setup the TV is a Sony KDL40W4500 and the OSD options on the amp are set to; Immediate = ON; Monitor = 16:9, Disp Pos : bottom; TV Format = Auto. I've pretty much tried all the available OSD options but haven't found one that's made a difference.

Any thoughts, or should I just ping it back to the factory reset? Not overly keen on that option mind. Cheers.

Thanks for the help guys. Just to let you know, I gave it one last chance before a factory reset and the OSD is back. No idea how or why, just grateful!

Cheers,

Steve.
