I have recently ordered a ZP90 and Zonebridge to "release" all of my music on my laptop.

Initially the laptop will be hard wired to the router and on so no probs there.

I have thought about getting a 2tb (2x1tb NAS drive) so that my PC does not have to be on all the time.

Then I saw this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=227970

It says I can attach usb hard drives to my network???

Does this mean my pc does not have to be on to access, much the same way as a NAS drive??

Sorry for asking probably such a stupid question

The reviews I've read say that it will turn attached USB drives into Windows SMB shares - which should be OK for a SONOS...

According to Belkin's support site you can connect to it as 192.168.2.1DeviceName - where DeviceName is the name you've assigned to the device. (The 192.168.2.1 is a default address - this may vary depending on how your home network is set up.)

Here is a link to Belkin's US answerbook on this: click

No, it goes to a Belkin 'N' Wireless Router.

No for me it doesn't.

Well initially it goes to a redirectingat.com address. If I whack the escape key whilst that's showing then it goes through to the router page, if I just leave it, it goes to the Maplin home page.

Excellent, so as long as I put a folder on there with my music on it and tell sonos the IP address and extension of the drive, my computer can be switched off??

This will only be a temporary measure until I get the funds for a NAS
