One downside to vinyl

I'm really struggling to keep my new vinyl clean.

the cleaning brushes i have seem to be making the issue worse rather than better.

does anyone have any tips for keeping vinyl in tip top condition.

i put an album on earlier, only previously played it once, and now there's a stubborn piece of muck in one of the grooves, and i can't seem to get it out! its enough to make a loud pop.

In my experience a clean with a Keith Monks machine (followed by storage in anti-stat sleeves) knocked static on the head.

It cost me £2.00 for every LP (now £2.50) but I never had static problems after they'd been treated.

You'll probably have to buy one. Luckily my nearest service was 10 minutes walk away ...

And anyone with a collection of 200 or more can invest in something like upcoming improved Okki Nokki, which price wise is equivalent of cleaning 200 albums - any after that are a bonus as it has paid for itself. You can clean them as many times as you like as well.
