OLED - anyone with any info

sorry if this has been covered before but when will oled tv's arrive in a 40" format at a reasonable cost ? why has the technology been so slow in coming and will oled eventually be 3d ? is oled the future ?

Not a clue: the problem with OLED remains the relatively low yield in production, which is keeping prices high. At the moment there are no announced plans to put on sale any screens larger than the LG 15EL9500 we've just reviewed

Have just read that LG will be selling a 55" OLED TV sometime in 2012.
