Buddy Holly’s output in just a few years was incredible. I really should dive into his catalogue more, and read a biography. I only know him by the various compilations I’ve listened to throughout my life, don’t know the timeline of when/where etc.
He certainly was prolific whilst he was with us, makes you wonder how much more he could have given us. Ripped off by his manager Norman Petty. Some of the documentaries about his life are interesting. I was one year old when he died in the tragic plane crash, along with Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper, such a loss of talent.

i´m more than a half century old and i bought all their albums after hearing them on spotify, new album ?dont know if it´s the one with older song like B-sides or diferent versions of known songs , the last i bought, the forthcoming album heard it but yet to find it in a store, it makes me go again to the early 70´s, this real rock band

Think the problem with modern singers is many didn't start their careers from the smokey clubs & pubs. A lot of them are taken from dance and entertainment troupe or come up from talent shows.

That's just my theory.
it´s true but only a few not much like 6 or 7 in all the world are from talent shows(also doesn´t mean they become sucessfull) ,

all others (hundreds of them)do it like it was done ever, by playing concerts indoors or outdoors ,

here in Portugal in the 80´s EMI only recorded a few bands that were listened by many from north to south of the country sometimes with changes on the group menbers as they were well known for at least 10 years,

and when releasing a record for a major label, everybody is sick of hearing those songs, as an example a band that started in 78 only got his first big released album in 87 and the three first albums were songs that all were tired of listening to them ,and with worst sound than the cassette demos they sold in concerts

and the people responsable to only sign 5 bands in 30 years leaving behind dozens of sucessfull bands that younger generations never heard for the fact that no Lp was released allthough they filled everywhere they went indoors rooms or outdoors, to show their songs in concerts

this person a brainless man (refering to EMI) is refered as the responsable for releasing all famous bands in 30 years but only 3, the other two were in diferent labels , some did recorded Lp´s but in diferent european countries ,it´s sad ,what can one say about this
