Now Playing: 6 songs we've been listening to in the What Hi-Fi? test rooms

New: Thea Gilmore's cover of Sweet Child of Mine. A mature reading of the song, as though from mother to daughter, with music that sparkles like blue sky sunshine on water.

Old: Jan Garbarek's album Legend of the Seven Dreams, particularly Voy Cantando. The distilled essence of his career and, for some reason, especially suited to cold-gripped winter days. (Warning, contains ECM-style jazz).

And: oh, they'll tell you about what bits of your hifi does but it'll take you a few listens to get to that.

Thank you for the recommendations, Tony19 - we'll give them a listen. (I am intrigued by what ECM-style jazz sounds like!)
