Nokia have just lost a loyal customer!!!

What's the sense in launching the Lumia 920 locked to EE?? |(

This is Nokia's response on their Twitter site!

"A SIM-free Lumia 920 bought from P4U will be locked to the EE network so will only work on Orange & T-Mobile. Thanks"

Edit: That was all wrong. No Sim Locking related laws in the UK. 02 are lovely in this regard however.

Not when the 1st iPhone was launched! ;)

Can't actually remember what happened... Oh, is this the price reduction thing? That was more Apples fault than 02. I have been on 02 since the first iPhone, but waited untill December 07 to get mine so didn't get stung. My Dad is still using that phone :)

I didn't realise Nokia still had any loyal customers!!!

My first 3 phones were Nokias. Ever since Windows 8 was announced, I've been following the new Lumias closely & had made up my mind to get the 920, until today that is. |(

Anyway, pre-ordered the 820 from Carphone Warehouse & getting a free wireless charging plate! :cheer:

The 3310 has a pretty strong following on line...

Nope. :)

But they have lost a customer willing to pay £100 more.

Effectively, the 820 will cost me £325 (as I was planning to buy the wireless plate £55 in any case). Not bad considering it has the same processor as the 920 & has microSD slot. The camera & low res screen are the main differences.

I would've preferred the 920 (obviously). If I'm not happy with the low res screen of the 820, I'll either look for 920 availability in Europe, or look at options like Samsung Ativ S.
