NO Volume Control on Sky + with New Series 6 Samsung ???

Hi

Bought a New 40inch Series 6 yesterday..however i cant use the Volume control on my sky+ ?? it worked fine

with my 6 year old Sony Trinitron...i now have to use the Samsung Remote to control the volume.can anyone

help ?? thanks Gary.

You need to program your sky+ remote control for a Samsung TV. You do this as follows

Turn your TV and Sky+ box on and press tv on the remote.

Hold down select and the red key together until the red light on the remote blinks twice (this is after about 2 seconds)

Press tv again, key in your new TV's code (should probably be 0060). The light on the remote will blink twice.

Press standby on the sky+ remote. If your TV switches off, press select. The light on the remote should blink twice.

If your TV does not switch off, press tv, then press standby. Repeat the sequence of pressing tv then standby until the TV switches off, then press select. If the light blinks 3 times your remote has checked all the possible settings for the code previous entered (0060). Check that you have entered the code correctly, if you have then the Samsung must now have a different code.

Turn your tv back on and press the tv guide key on the remote. The TV Guide menu appears meaning the remote control settings are made properly.

hi Chinster.
just to say a BIG thanks mate and thats from my girlfriend as well . it was doing her head in using 2 remotes to turn sky channels over and the other to control the sound.. how did you know that and how do you know the CODE i am curious haha.

To answer your question about the code etc. I simply looked it up in the Sky+ instruction manual page 51.

I knew it was there because we have recently bought a Panasonic TV so I have recently gone through this process.
