We don’t buy a new TV until the current one is kaput, although that is not as infrequent as it should be in recent times.

The last time I bought and spent money on a new TV was 6 years ago! That was the LG 65E6V OLED TV which got screen burn after 4 years of owning and I got a full refund for which bought my current Samsung 75Q950TS with. The rest of my TVs I have sold for the money I paid for them.

My Samsung has plasma black levels now not quite OLED but more than a match for a plasma TV. 👍
