Hi

wonder if any one can advise me. Can i connect the nintendo wii to the sony strdh800 which is then connected to the tv through the hdmi connection? I only have an hdmi connection on my tv.

No as it does not convert analogue video to HDMI. What TV is it? I would be very surprised if it only has HDMI unless it is one of those ultra thin things.

Very strange, I was about to say yes but a quick google and a check at the Sony spec's seem to concur that this amp does NOT upscale Analog to Digital nor vice-versa.

Apparantly the next model up (1000) does.

Will be something I look out for when I upgrade to an HDMI amp.
