Hello all,

I'm about to make my first foray into the world of Sonos and wondered, if I buy a BU250 bundle, can I simply add an S5 player to create a "portable zone" or do I need something extra?

Thanks!

Thanks very much, I was being told by the supplier that I would need another Zone Bridge...

You'd only need that if the location of the S5 is too far away from the rest of the zoneplayers to join the mesh network (or has too many thick walls in the way).

Depending on the location of the ZPs in the bundle you wouldn't necessarily need a zonebridge at all, if you can locate a ZP close enough to your router to wire it to the router.

I've just got a 250 bundle and S5 at the weekend. My ZP120 is hardwired to the router and I move the S5 around the house with no problems. you just have to wait for the S5 to boot up and join the network each time you plug it in. This takes about a minute.
