Newbie-needs advice,

Apologise for posting in this forum,not get any help by posting in Computer based music forum.Don't know is there any option to chat with online members or editors???

So excited when i found this website and a newbie iam almost spending hours in reading this website ,at the end confused!!!! where to start!!!

*My laptop(Dell inspiron 6400-5 years old) is my base.I like to use this for my music,and movies and external hard drive,wher iam having loads of bly-ray and hd movies.

*I have a Sony 32 inch Hd ready tv.

*Sony dav-dz 111 all in one hometheatre system.

*sony BDPLS380 Blu-ray player.

How i can use my laptop and external hard drive to get good music and watch videos,i like to upgrade my base laptop to sony vaio f13 series laptop too???

pls tell u r suggestion and advise...

How i can find ,if i get reply for my questions ,i couldn't find any inbox options???

To improve the sound quality of your music, I would suggest an external DAC, something along the lines of

Beresford 7510/7520/Caiman

Cambridge Audio DACmagic

Musical Fidelity V-DAC

and many others at a similar price bracket.

Have you kept your audio drivers up to date ?

Maybe invest in a better sound card ?
