New Sony Sets due to come out?

After speaking to someone in Comet last week they said that Sony are about to bring out a new range of full 1080p sets in a variety of sizes to compete with a growing range of competitors. Has anybody else heard about this or did he not know what he was talking about? He wasnt completely convincing! Im looking for a 37" set, the best I can get for around £800, any suggestions?
