New Plasma Care

Hallo everybody.

Been reading these forums for weeks and helped me finnally buy a TH42PZ85 which is arriving tomorrow ~YEY ~

Anyway one thing not seen but interested,

Is there any special treament you should be giving a new plasma during its early life or turn it on even 😛

Ive not owned one before so dont want to screw it up. it has been mentioned to me by a friend that i should turn the contrast and brightness down and bring them up slowly for longetivity reasons.

special treatment was more necessary with the older panels... but just switch it on and have a little tweak with the settings to suit your eyes.

Use ECO or Cinema mode, with contrast set to 50% max. for a couple of weeks.

Better to be safe than sorry.

rewerb its really not necessary these days with the modern panels...
