New home cinema setup advice

My first post on whathifi and being a novice need some advice please.

My cinema setup at the moment is a Samsung 46"LCD,Pioneer lx01,Samsung blu-ray and Sky HD.

I now want to invest in a proper cinema setup and at the moment the items i am thinking about getting are:

JVC DLA-HD350 Projector. Monitor Audio Silver RX6 AV12 Speakers. Pioneer SC-LX81 Amp.

In your opinion does the equipment i have chosen work well together?

I was thinking about the B & W 685 Theatre package how does this compare to the Monitor Audio package?

Again with the amp i was thinking about the Sony STR-DA5400ES but after reading the reviews from you went for the Pioneer.

My living room and kitchen is open plan,how much of a difference would this make to the sound?

I have chosen the above equipment due to the good reviews they have got but costing more then i would like to spend but i really want a excellent cinema setup so i am willing to spend the money.

I know i need to listen to these items before buying and plan to visit sevenoaks for a demo in yeovil.

Let me know what you think about the above setup and any advice would be welcome.

In reponse to your system you are thinking off, what hi fi have recommended that system as working well together.
