i'm thinking about replacing my sony STR DA1200es with a new amp. Can't decide between the Sony STR-DH810 or the Onkyo TX-SR608. Not bothered about 3D capabilities. Would it also be worth considering the Sony STR DA2400, older model i know, but can be picked up for around £280.00.
I have a Pioneer BDP-51FD blu-ray player and am getting a Sony Bravia 37" EX503.

Interested to know your views!!

Theres quite a few budget amps ranging from £200 to £400 and i would also look at Denon, Yamaha and of course Pioneer.Your choice will be made easier by Auditioning a few preferably with the same speakers you are using now unless you plan upgrading them too.If 3d is of not interest to you then i would consider an older model like the Denon 2310 if theres still good deals around, let us know what speakers your using.

I'm using Bose direct/reflecting cubes for the 5 and a Gale Storm 8 sub for the .1

Yamaha has just dropped £100 from their RX-V667 (at certain dealers) and Pioneer have done similar with their 920 receiver.
